Senior Internal Auditor

Join our dynamic Risk and Assurance team at easyJet as a Senior Internal Auditor, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive and demanding assurance and advisory reviews. Reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Manager and with direct access to the Director of Risk & Assurance, you'll be part of a diverse Risk & Assurance team that drives value by identifying and reporting on risks, providing insight on processes, capabilities, and controls, preventing and investigating fraud, managing whistleblowing, and insuring risks.

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you'll deliver robust, evidence-based assurance reviews following the easyJet Internal Audit methodology, incorporating data analytics to strengthen conclusions and insights. In this fast-paced environment, you'll leverage your technical assurance expertise and commercial awareness to drive value and opportunities across the business, ensuring effective and pragmatic processes and controls. You'll lead audit close-out meetings with executive leadership, resolve contentious issues, and gain cross-departmental agreement on improvements. You'll provide high-quality reports and action plans, manage stakeholder relationships, and act as a trusted source of controls expertise within the business. Your passion for easyJet's brand proposition of low cost with care and convenience will be reflected in your work, contributing to the timely delivery of assurance reports, positive stakeholder feedback, and continuous improvement of audit methodologies and tools.

Requirements of the Role

What you need to do the role
 We are seeking a qualified accountant or internal auditor (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, IIA, etc.) or an auditor with substantial relevant experience, who has a proven track record of delivering high-quality risk-based audit, assurance, and advisory engagements. You will have the ability to influence and negotiate with senior management while maintaining professional independence, along with exceptional report writing, presentation, and meeting skills. You must demonstrate strong capabilities in planning a diverse range of audits with various stakeholders in a rapidly changing environment, and have experience managing key senior stakeholders and building strong business relationships. Experience in data analytics is desirable but not essential.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
