The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Busy Lizzie's Nursery as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice in August 2024.
Our nursery welcomes children from the age of 6 months until they leave for school. We run 5 days a week during term time, offering flexible session times between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
We are a free play nursery because we believe that children should come to us to have fun, to explore and to learn naturally. Children of all ages play together because we believe they learn from each other and that this helps develop confidence & social skills.
We adapt the set-up of the nursery based on the children attending at any one time. We have the capacity to separate off an area for our Under 2s if it is felt that it is needed. We often find that our youngest children prefer to be out with the older children in which case they will have 1:1 until they are able to confidently walk.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Assist in creating a safe nurturing environment for children Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring activities are developmentally appropriate and inclusive Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians and sharing information about children’s development and well-being Observe and assess children’s development, documenting observations and contributing to individual learning plans Support children’s personal care needs, including feeding, changing and promoting independence Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming nursery Collaborate with nursery team to plan and deliver engaging learning activities both indoors and outdoors Attending staff meetingsHours;
Busy Lizzie's Nursery is open from 08:30-16:00 Monday to Friday and are a term time only setting The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussedRequirements;
Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desired Experience in childcare is desired You must be able to gain a clear DBS and two suitable references Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalentBenefits;
