As a Pay & Reward Specialist at HC-One, you will:

  • Support Reward Leadership: Assist the Head of Pay and Reward in achieving HC-One’s goal to be a sector leader in reward. Manage and enhance our pay and reward processes, ensuring they are effective and aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Develop Reward Strategies: Play a key role in the development and delivery of HC-One’s Reward Strategy. Ensure our reward and benefits programmes reinforce corporate values, engage colleagues, and balance stakeholder needs.
  • Provide Expert Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support the creation of innovative reward policies and processes. Ensure HC-One remains compliant and positions itself as a centre of expertise in reward.
  • Lead Reward Initiatives: Spearhead a range of reward initiatives, from the annual compensation cycle to developing salary benchmarks and employee grade structures. Drive the creation of effective reward solutions that meet the needs of our colleagues.
  • Collaborate on Projects: Work within project teams, providing expert reward advice during the setup of new home projects and other initiatives.
  • Deliver Cyclical Activities: Support and communicate key cyclical reward activities, including the annual pay review, benefits renewal, gender pay reporting, and various bonus schemes.
  • Maintain Job Descriptions: Review and support creation of job descriptions for home and support roles, ensuring they are up-to-date and fit for purpose.
  • Develop Reward Policies: Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate and refine reward policies and processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Enhance Employee Benefits: Periodically review HC-One’s employee benefits schemes, sourcing new benefits that meet the needs of our colleagues.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with vendors, brokers, and salary survey companies. Ensure services are cost-effective, high-quality, and delivered within agreed timelines.

Closing Date:  5pm, Tuesday 4th June 2024

Educated to degree level in HR or Business-related subject and holding CIPD or CIPP level 5 or higher, you have previous experience in a Reward role, in market benchmarking and pay & market analysis, and of conducting job evaluations, ideally familiar with Hay (qualified) and WTW global grading system.

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to effectively engage and manage stakeholders. You can confidently challenge ideas and influence decision-making processes.

You have advanced capabilities in MS Excel and other MS Office applications and your strong analytical skills allow you to interpret and apply market data and trends with precision.

All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
