About the Job:


Working with the Safety Director, Safety team and operational and non-operational senior stakeholders you will develop, launch, and implement safety standard and programmes to reduce safety risks and impacts nationally. You will provide strategic subject matter expert support to operation and non-operational leaders to ensure the effective development of safety resources across operations and non-operations. You will support the Strategic Safety Business Partner to ensure the effective deployment of resources across the region to support leadership focus of Safety performance improvement. 

About you:


You will have experience in developing and leveraging relationships across many teams both internal and external to achieve business results. Ability to create an environment that inspires people to think logically using data and facts generating solutions to improve existing conditions and processes. Have a good understanding of basic business operations and RMG systems, processes, departments, and functions to achieve business objectives and ensure growth. Be able to plan, organise, coordinate, control, and schedule workload to deliver high quality results for RMG; managing operational risk through effective monitoring of relevant regulation to ensure on-going compliance.

Your Skills and Experiences:


• Level 4 occupational health & safety practitioner qualification or holder of NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent), or holder of NEBOSH certificate and working towards a level 4 occupational health &safety qualification.
• Graduate member of the institution of safety & health or equivalent professional safety body (or working towards).
• Strong leadership skills.
• Robust knowledge of safety and health issues and approaches application to UKPIL operations.
• A detailed understanding of the application of effective safety health and/or environmental management techniques with a primary focus on risk management.
• Proficient understanding of behavioural based safety approaches.
• Appreciates effective techniques for employee communications and engagement.
