Purpose of the Role

This exciting role will involve taking individual ownership of the strategic procurement of selected Enterprise Technology spend on a global basis.

At dentsu, our focus is to deliver value for money, commercially robust agreements and enable business improvements and efficiencies through supplier sourcing and relationship management and we welcome Procurement professionals to join our exciting and dynamic team.

The role will require utilising both strategic sourcing methodology and supplier/stakeholder management principles to deliver great commercial outcomes and service improvements in line with our dentsu strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic procurement ownership of select spend within Enterprise Technology (End User Computing, Tech Ops, Cloud Infrastructure & Cyber Security).

Strong collaboration with internal business leaders including Global, Regional & Local C-Level Executives to deliver value-add Procurement solutions.

Commercial negotiation of agreements across the globe, whilst balancing global, regional and cross brand challenges & needs.

Management and delivery of global contract renewals.

For strategic suppliers, supporting the business with contract and performance management, and implementing supplier relationship management (SRM) techniques to deliver business benefit.

Work alongside the Sustainable Procurement manager to develop initiatives, engage with suppliers on sustainability issues, and drive dentsu’s award-winning sustainability agenda.

Lead and deliver, for specialist areas, all business-as-usual activity such as supplier selection, supplier set-up, implementation of contract terms, negotiation strategies and business improvement plans. Involvement in identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Work with a range of exciting technology vendors – portfolio includes Microsoft, Google, Cisco, AWS and Atlassian

Proactively identify risks, budgetary implications and mitigating measures for the project and presentation to board/executive level.

Line management responsibility.

Qualifications + Skills

End to end knowledge of 3rd party vendor engagement with demonstrated delivery against the strategic sourcing process.

Strong understanding of and experience with technology/SaaS procurement, including commercial and contractual negotiations

Sound understanding of complex license models & cloud architecture and cost models,

Proven experience of working with global, market leading technology vendors

Global and/or multi-country procurement experience

Sound knowledge of contractual law, financial reporting and modelling principles.

People management experience

Preferable to be working towards or be CIPS / MCIPS qualified.
