The Gateshead East CTT are thrilled to advertise a band 6 Community Practitioner. We are looking to recruit for a full time post ( hours).We are looking to recruit someone with a real positive outlook, interest in non psychosis and psychosis conditions and a sense of team spirit to add to our already excellent skill set. This role covers the East of Gateshead area.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity. You will assist in the delivery of therapeutic clinical based interventions and activities which meet individual needs embracing equality and will engage in regular family/carer contact to support and encourage collaborative decision successful candidates will be required to work as part of the East Community Treatment you have any questions or better still would like to come along and meet us then please do get in touch. The team functions as an MDT where we work collaboratively with nurses, support workers, occupational therapists, social workers, psychology and psychiatry.

Person Specification

Certificates and experience

Essential

Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist Up to date knowledge/ experience of relevant legislation Evidence based clinical skills and advanced practice 12 to 24 month band 5 qualified experience dependent upon service need.

Desirable

Post registration qualifications in psychological interventions Experience of working within a community team

knowledge

Essential

Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, NMC (or equivalent regulatory bodies) standards and other local and national initiatives Experience of working with and an understanding of moderate to severe mental health difficulties
