PLANNING PRACTICE AT AECOM
We have an impressive portfolio of involvement in major infrastructure projects, including lead roles in the consenting and delivery of projects for clients such as Transport Scotland, Network Rail and a range of energy clients. We are currently leading on planning applications for renewables and wider energy/electricity related infrastructure, transport including active travel, defence and much more, involved with planning policy projects and work closely with our engineering and multidisciplinary teams.

Here’s what you’ll do:
- Assisting in the management and successful delivery of major development applications including coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
- Providing planning advice to colleagues and clients on planning policy, consent requirements and the application of permitted development rights.
- Carrying out planning research and analysis and assist with planning feasibility reports and consent strategies.
- Writing Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for development applications.
- Liaising with the Environmental Impact Assessment team.
- Contribution to the preparation of successful commercial tenders.
- Assisting with project management and implementing quality and health and safety principles.
- Participating in internal and external meetings

Qualifications

- Demonstrable and relevant experience of working on planning applications
- Client focus, with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working approach
