Temporary LGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver

What you will enjoy doing

  • You ensure the roadworthiness, safety and cleanliness of the assigned vehicles
  • Complete daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and as well as any specialised equipment that you may need to use as part of daily work
  • Where appropriate, you operat specialised BOC equipment such as Fork-Lift Truck or crane to load/unload vehicle to meet customer requirements, ensuring a safe/legal weight distribution of cylinders at all times
  • Further you will also apply defensive driving techniques, know commercial driving regulations and the roads to ensure safe transportation and delivery of bottles
  • Several deliveries of approx. 15-20 gas cylinders per day to customers in the area
  • You ensure the manual handling of gas cylinders during the delivery/collection of gas cylinders to/from customers
  • Adhering to strict health & safety operations is required by you

What makes you great

  • You must hold an HGV/LGV Cat C licence and an ADR (Class 2 in packages) desirable and training will be provided where appropriate
  • Further you must have a driver CPC and knowledge of defensive driving and driver regulations, including HSA regulations
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers is required
  • You must have a high level of personal integrity
  • For insurance purposes you have held the LGV entitlement for a minimum of two years
