This role forms part of the NPCC National Reward Team (NRT) which advises NPCC on pay and conditions.

Reporting to the National Coordinator this role will:

To review and lead on specified current pay and conditions of police officers in England & Wales in accordance with the 2024/25 NPCC National Reward Team work plan, and, if appropriate, evidence the case for change for decision makers. Evidence will be gathered through working parties with PCF members, forces representatives (including HR, Finance), NPCC Workforce Hub and College of Policing and Home Office Where appropriate, design and seek to implement new policy, legislation and/or guidance in conjunction with stakeholders. To prepare and present board and council papers on behalf of the National Reward Team to effect change. Write and contribute to the NPCC submissions to the police officer pay review bodies. To inform and manage staff association secretariats, so they are kept informed of the changes to pay and conditions being considered. This is a new role within the NRT designed to add a significant experienced resource to ensure that the 2024/25 workplan can be delivered. The NRT is a virtual team.
