DescriptionPurpose of role     The Platform Product Manager will establish, prioritise and deliver the requirements for Grow London Local’s digital platform.   They will be responsible for ensuring that the small business client journey (and that of providers offering services via Grow London Local) is streamlined, and that the platform is robust, scalable, and capable of supporting London’s 1 million SMEs.  The post will oversee a variable workload, involving extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders and agencies. 
Key TasksRelationship Management  
  • Work closely with the Head of Platform & Systems on product strategy and roadmap. 
  • Balance the needs of different stakeholders, such as internal teams, developers, and end-users. 
  • Lead the operational relationship with our platform delivery partner. 
  • Work with our CRM (Salesforce) team to optimise performance and publishing of content.  
  • Liaise with the content and marketing team to ensure that campaign pages, editorial content and platform copy changes are delivered accurately and in-line with agreed SLAs.  
  • Support the Head of Platform & Systems and the Head of Operations to ensure that reporting, dashboards and data associated with the digital platform are accurate.  
 Project Management  
  • Ownership and optimisation of the existing platform which includes improved connectivity, the introduction of AI features, SEO optimisation, 2-way API, and a self-serve portal for suppliers. 
  • Optimisation of our bespoke CRM, to ensure that support providers are well represented across the service, and to better connect small businesses with only the most relevant, timely support.  
  • Influence and help develop the product roadmap, to better serve London’s small businesses. 
  • Identify new ways to improve sign-up, engagement and conversion metrics – and to build product stickiness. 
  • Ensure that new product features are fully scoped, tested and built into the development of the current Grow London Local platform. 
  • Identify, report and troubleshoot issues impacting the platform, and work with our platform partner to ensure that issues are resolved within an agreed timeframe.  
   Monitoring & Analysis 
  • Use a data driven approach to decision making, using relevant quantitative and qualitative insights to optimise the performance of the Grow London Local platform and our bespoke CRM. 
  • Monitor, track and report platform performance and provide insights and recommendations to the Grow London Local senior management team.   
  • Conduct market, customer and user research to better understand the needs of the end user 
  • Analyse the small business support landscape to inform platform strategies.  
  • Prepare and present platform demonstrations for a variety of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Audit all user data capture processes to ensure that the Grow London Local to maintain GDPR compliance.   
 
You’ll have/bring
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.  
  • Previous product management experience, with a good understanding of strategic planning and optimising.  
  • A deep understanding of what a great customer experience looks like. 
  • Knowledge and experience of front end applications (back-end experience beneficial) 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, public-private, politically sensitive setting. 
  • Some understanding of small business ecosystems.
