Our Client is working with a vibrant and funprimary school based in Slough seeking a proactive and emotionallyintelligent Year 1 teacher.

The children arehardworking caring inquisitive and imaginative and the staff hereaspire to develop wellrounded confident pupils through a supportivepastoral environment as a result we are seeking a primary teacherwho knows how to drive attainment and create engaginglessons.

Responsibilities of a Year 1teacher:

  • As a Year 1teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of childrentaking their first steps in Key stage 1 promoting teamwork andcultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key stage 1 curriculum to groups of childrenwhile also focusing on each individual childs learning targetsencouraging their strengths and improving theirweaknesses
  • Further developing maths abilityand introducing fractions statistics and geometry
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creatingplots characters and settings for stories.
  • Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionallyreporting back toparents
