We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate leader to co-ordinate the day to day activity on delivery suite. The applicant will be responsible for promoting safety and excellence by being the clinical expert on shift, coordinating care and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. This will require excellent leadership, managerial and communication skills in line with our We Care values.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Band 7 midwife who is passionate about delivering a high-quality service to the women and birthing people of East Kent.

Main duties of the job

The Midwifery sister will provide managerial support and direct line management for the allocated setting they are responsible for, while maintaining their own clinical skills and practice. The post holder will support the Midwifery Matron with the planning and modernising of service delivery which will initially be a key function of the role, while maintaining service provision within area of responsibility and contributing to the delivery of key performance outcomes.
