Come and join us Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust are currently recruiting for the Therapies Department including Band 5 Physiotherapists, across two hospitals within the heart of Kent.

Our focus is to tailor advice to our individual patients needs and build therapeutic relationships, which we believe are important to both the recovery and outcomes of the treatments that we deliver. Our treatment areas are well equipped and the trust offers scenario-based training rooms for staff, which facilitates a real-life training environment for clinicians to develop new skills and also maintain clinical competence.

Main duties of the job

Our staff feel the trust offers progression from within and that they are valued as individuals. The therapies department places an emphasis on supportive learning and the sharing of knowledge and practices across all professional groups.

We are now looking for new team members to compliment the current well-established team We are looking forward to showing you what we have to offer you soon.

As a rotational Band 5 you will rotate into all key areas - T&O, Respiratory, Medical Rehabilitation, Neuro/Stroke and MSK and have potential to rotate to Paediatrics, Oncology, Urgent care or Therapy assisted Discharge teams once core rotations are completed .

This rotational post gives the newly qualified Physiotherapists an opportunity to gain as much post graduate experience as possible in the first two years after qualification. It allows the individual to:

Consolidate a broad range of skills.

Provide a high standard Physiotherapy Service to include: - Assessment, advice, treatment and patient management.

Covers all key areas - T&O, Respiratory, Medical Rehabilitation, Neuro/Stroke and MSK. Rotations may be at either Tunbridge Wells or Maidstone Hospital.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.

We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
