Overview
To act as an Account Executive in the best interests of the company. This role will be responsible for establishing a book of new clients and renewal portfolio, managing and providing a quality service, meeting client demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth. How you'll make an impact Manage client/prospect/introducer relationships and grow the book/existing accounts, providing the most appropriate insurance and risk management solutions Negotiate with insurers to obtain terms for clients that accurately and effectively match customer requirements Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines Ensure client information and sales plans are kept up to date Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance. Establish and manage a sales pipeline of potential clients Analyse and interpret sales data to identify unexpected patterns and trends Build up a sales pipeline of business opportunities that will ensure sales targets are met Proactively seek out commercial opportunities and partnerships Promote and sell additional applications and services to clients Investigate and discover new sources of profitable business for the Operating Division and Group as a whole, including cross-selling Work closely with Account Handlers and Brokers to negotiate terms and conditions of placements Deal with internal and external queries from colleagues or underwriters Ensure that premiums are paid in accordance with credit control requirements Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business. About you Cert CII/ Dip CII/ Advanced Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable Educated to degree standard or equivalent is desirable Good knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role Experience Previous demonstrable experience in an Account Executive or Broker role, comfortable working to targets Tactical negotiation and influencing experience with internal/external stakeholders Proven rapport-building experience with internal/external stakeholders Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow Able to identify potential problems and seek advice/consultation when required Robust knowledge of client market and insurance industry network Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information to maximise growth opportunities Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Persistent and tenacious in achieving results Proactive in lead management and follow up Authentic communication skills for varying audience Excellent planning and analytical skills Deals with ambiguity Comfortable and credible at decision-maker level Self-motivated and motivates others to achieve Continually builds and sustains a network managing relationships Eligible to work in the UK Ability to travel to client sites Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
