We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Isle of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Albans. What does your typical day look like?

You will be responsible for the ownership of your designated area, ensuring that all inspections/PdM/PPM are completed to your standard. To understand the condition of the equipment in your area to help prioritise any engineering work and to drive improved reliability.

Other key actions will be but not limited to:

Drive the use of RCA to identify permanent fixes to area issues and ensure completion of actionsPriorities weekly engineering workload in your area together.Ensure quality of any work carried out in your area is to your standards and will not lead to additional loss of reliability.Collects information from production related to the condition of your plant and machinery. Créate reports of the actual machine statePerforms predictive maintenance tasksAttend daily meeting for EWR prioritizationReports all abnormalities in your area and creates all the WO to tackle them. Keeps track of the WO backlog in your area. Proposes changes to PPM to ensure continual improvement and help create PPM for new equipmentParticipate actively in major repairs. Post mortem check of equipment condition after the interventions. Plan and prepare your daily workload to ensure operation and availability. Supports the head of department to determine the medium and long term actions. Propose improvements and innovations in your field of responsibility. Study equipment failures and anomalies in order to provide solutions. Participates in the development of safe work procedures, together with safety and other departments. Observe and enforce safety and health standards Carry out any necessary work to improve factory reliability.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role? 

Qualifications 

• Time Served in electrical/mechanical disciplines.

• IOSH.

• Food safety/Hygiene qualification

Experience 

• Detailed knowledge of using & developing MS Office products, particularly Excel. 

• FMCG background (preferably food industry)

• Previous experience of predictive maintenance tools desirable
