Job Duties:
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members to meet the needs of SEN students
Required Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to support individual students
  • Patience and empathy when working with SEN students
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Makaton or other communication training
Working Conditions:
  • Working hours are typically school hours
  • May require some flexibility in working hours to attend meetings or support extra-curricular activities
  • Collaborative work environment with teachers and other support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
