Head Of Operations

Ontic, a global leader in high-mix aerospace manufacturing, dedicated to delivering excellence in products and services, that has grown by almost 25% since 2022 and increased it's product portfolio by 30%, is seeking an experienced leader to join them as the Head of Operations at their Staverton site in Gloucestershire. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our ambitious growth plans whilst delivering industry-leading operational excellence.

What will the role involve?

As a key member of the Site Leadership team, you'll be responsible for daily leadership and management of all production or support personnel involved in the manufacture of products licensed by Ontic. Our business model means that we embrace change, so you'll be managing the strategic direction of our site operations to support organisational growth and change as new licenses are brought in and the demand profile of the product line changes.

In addition to leading the team, you'll be responsible for creating a performance culture that ensures clear and engaging communication. You'll have overall responsibility of maintaining a safe working environment whilst promoting our company values across the site. You'll also be involved in various projects throughout the business and will work closely with Project Management Team, Site Directors, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure that output remains a key focus throughout the business. Whilst the role has overall responsibility for operations at site, cohesion with the site leadership team and other key execution functions is paramount to this role.

What skills/experience will you bring?

Ideally you'll have exposure to the Aviation/Aerospace industry but we would welcome applications from other regulated manufacturing or engineering environments. You'll have extensive experience in a senior or site leadership role within a fast-paced organisation as well as a proven background in implementing and driving cultural change across a multi-skilled production environment. . Prior experience overseeing the production of complex, high variety product lines would be extremely beneficial.

As a natural problem-solver, you'll bring a strong focus on strategy and output to this role. You'll need to have exceptional leadership qualities as well as strong change management skills, with the ability to cultivate an engaged and dynamic workforce. There will be a strong strategic element to this role, and we're looking for someone with experience in a similar role, who can hit the ground running
