LCS are vital in supporting the integration of our Joint Fire Control into ESFRS, as well as the on-going local needs of some of the Control room functions. This will include event and resilience support and effective resourcing activities across the service as listed in the specific LCS Role Specific Duties list. Because of some elements of the role and the requirement to understand control room practices and legislation, this job is aligned to the Control NOSs, so cannot be filled using any existing promotion pools.

As part of the Operational Support and Resilience Directorate, but offering robust cross departmental support, this role will form part of the Operational Policy and Procedures Team. As a Watch Manager (control), your role will be vital supporting our Service in making sure activities are delivered professionally as well as taking on the full role map and responsibilities of a Watch Manager.

Youll develop existing management skills and work with the Station Manager to help shape the control and resourcing operational function of the department.

All applicants must have evidence of maintaining their skills and competencies in line with the relevant Services recording of competence scheme (ESFRS Competence Framework).
