CASUAL/RELIEF PASSENGER ASSISTANTS REQUIRED WORKING WITHIN THE SEND TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT

HOME-TO-SCHOOL TRANSPORT SERVICE (SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES)

External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale

Grade 2 £24,027 pro rata per annum (£12.45 per hour)

WORKING HOURS - Casual ad-hoc, per the needs of the service when you are called upon there will be a minimum of 15 hours per week.

You will be picked up from home/work between 7.00am7.30am returned home/ work at 9.00am-10.00am approximately (Morning run).

You will be picked up from home/work between 2.15pm 2.45pm returned home 4.30pm-5.30pm approximately (Afternoon run).

Principal Duties

Collect and return clients to their home at the beginning and end of their school day.

Act as first point of contact between clients and the relevant services.

To provide an enjoyable and relaxed journey.

Provide for the clients physical and emotional needs.

To liaise with other team members, service users and carers to ensure that key information relating to service user conveyance is promptly exchanged and is accurate and appropriate.

To assist in the loading and unloading of passengers to and from vehicles.
