The Role

We are looking to recruit a Waiting List Scheduler to join the Trauma & Orthopaedics ward based at either University Hospital Wishaw or University Hospital Monklands.

The Waiting List Scheduler will manage all in-patient waiting lists and provide a comprehensive administrative service for Surgeons/Associate Specialists and Staff Grades across the three sites (Monklands/Wishaw/Hairmyres.

Band 4 / Fixed-term or Secondment - 6 months / Full Time / 37 Hours

What we'll need you to bring

HNC/SVQ111 in secretarial studies/Business Administration or equivalent experience Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Medical Secretary Proficient in the use of software systems Advanced keyboard skills Medical terminology Good organisational and communication skills

It would be great if you also have:

Previous scheduling experience Relevant NHS experience Waiting Times experience Knowledge of Treatment Time Guarantee (TTG) Working knowledge of Trakcare and Microsoft Office packages including word and excel Working knowledge of OPERA Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure Flexible and ability to cover other sites within NHSL Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
