Therole

The Weapons area primarilysupports the design, development, production, and integrationactivities associated with Weapon Systems. As a result of newcontracts, the engineering team are looking for motivatedTechnicians. As an Engineering Technician within Raytheon, you willwork a team of engineers generally operating in a workshop /laboratory environment.

MainDuties
This position offers a great dealof variety with on-job training provided.

Theroles responsibilities will include thefollowing:

  • Adhere to Company Healthand Safety Policies and legislation.
  • Mechanicalassembly, modification, and repair ofhardware
  • Regular checking of tools andmachinery.
  • Mechanical and Electricaltesting.
  • Completion of forms and maintenancerecords.
  • Understand quality requirements andproactively report issues/observations.
  • Therole will also offer the opportunity to work occasionally away fromthe main facility in Harlow.

CandidateSkills

Essential

  • Previousexperience of working in electrical and mechanical technicianrole.
  • Able to follow strict companyEnvironmental Health and Safetyprocedures.
  • Proficient in using tools forrepair and manufacture of equipment.
  • Ability towork accurately and to deadlines
  • Good hand-eyecoordination
  • Basic computer literacy includingMicrosoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word,Excel).

Desirable

  • Knowledgeof electronic and mechanical systems
  • Previousexperience in an Aerospace or Defence workingenvironment.
  • DriversLicence
  • UKPassport
  • Willingness to travel whenrequired.
