Hours: Mon - Fri  8 am-4.30 pm / Overtime available

We are a professional, small business located in Wigston Magna with a modern workspace and a commitment to quality. We're seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team in fabricating precision sheet metal components within a supportive, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Assemble and install tooling (dies, punches, gauges) onto press brake machines.
  • Perform quality inspections of fabricated parts using callipers, micrometres, and other measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adjust machine settings to achieve precise bending angles and dimensions.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating press brake machines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in sheet metal work, including callipers and micrometres.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of precision in fabrication.
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues during machine operation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
