Job summary
We are looking for an experienced manager to join a small team who deliver high standards of care to people who have recently experienced rape or sexual assault. Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides support, advice and forensic medical examination services for people who have experienced sexual assault and rape throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (IoW). The Treetops SARC service is currently based in Cosham, Portsmouth. The SARC is open 24/7, 365(6) days a year and is staffed by on-call crisis workers and sexual offence examiners.
This post is subject to level 2 Police vetting.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the overall operational day-to-day management of the Treetops SARC service, in accordance with set objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints. This includes the development of policy, practice and future objectives and strategies to deliver national and local targets, within a defined budget, and in conjunction with the Clinical Lead, Quality Manager, Sexual Health Service Business Manager and wider sexual health management team. The SARC is a Hampshire and IoW wide Forensic Medical Examination and wrap around care and support service for approximately 500 victims per annum, via referrals from Hampshire & IoW Constabulary and self-referral clients.
The post holder will provide a central point of reference for all users, stakeholders, and staff of the SARC and in collaboration with the Clinical Lead, Quality Manager, Sexual Health Service Business Manager and Sexual Offence Examiners, ensure SARC clients are provided with appropriate high-quality services. The role will necessitate close communication with the SARC's Clinical Lead and Quality Manager and require active involvement in some key Sexual Health meetings, the Sexual Health Service Management Team, Police Officers, Crown Prosecution Service, NHS England commissioners, Home Office representatives and other partner agencies.
