Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a motivated SEN Support Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Wythenshawe starting this September.
About the Role:
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with classroom teachers to provide individual and group support to SEN students.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
- Supporting students’ emotional and social development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents, and participating in review meetings.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
- A caring and patient approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of SEN students.
- Qualifications in education or child care are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
