Job Title: Senior 1 Radiographer - CT And General Xray

Department: Radiology

Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, Kensington SW5 0TU

Permanent/fixed term contract: Permanent

Salary range: £42,155 to £55,264 per annum ( dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full time/part time: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, participate in the out of hours (including nights) and weekend rotas.

About The Cromwell Hospital

The Cromwell Hospital is a major international private hospital in West London receive both UK and international patients. We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare outpatient and inpatient service care. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, 6 theatres, medical and surgical wards, CDU, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, and a dedicated day surgery unit.

The radiography services we provide at the Cromwell Hospital includes; Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, MRI, CT, General/Xray, and Mammography. We also partner with Genesis Care who are onsite offering therapeutic services. The department is ISO 9001:2015 accredited, and we provide a range of nuclear medicine examinations for many types of cancers, heart disease, gastro, endocrine, and neuro disorders.

The post holder will be based between the CT and General X-ray departments carrying out CT scans and general X-rays daily, depending on where the individual has been rostered to. Therefore, a flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial, along with a willingness to participate in the out of hours (including nights) and weekend rotas.

The CT Department is currently comprised of one Siemens scanner and is a very busy and challenging place to work. A variety of CT examinations including full body imaging, neurological, cardiac and biopsy procedures are undertaken, as well as some specialist orthopaedic imaging.

The X-ray department has two general X-ray rooms, an OPG machine, one fluoroscopy room, one DEXA scanner and one mammography machine. There is also a need to provide imaging external to the main department, namely in Theatres, Theatre Recovery and ITU.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

Working within a team of Senior and Superintendent Radiographers, you’ll provide high standards of service to all of Cromwell’s customers.

The department can be busy; therefore you must be able to work well under pressure in a complex environment, and have an adaptability and sensitivity to work within a diverse working environment.

You’ll also have substantial proven post qualification experience in CT and Xray, a willingness to work independently, such as out of hours, as well as with a team and occasionally leading a more junior team of Radiographers.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)

HCPC Registered (essential)

Substantial CT and Xray experience ( essential)

Post Graduate Certificate in CT (desirable)

Effective Communicator

Excellent Organisational Skills

Attention to detail
