Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP - 4/5 clinical sessions per week to complement our experienced and diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious GP to join our friendly, progressive team based in Doncaster. We hold regular team meetings including MDT, SEA and educational sessions.

4/5 sessions (Friday & Monday)

Main duties of the job

In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone / video consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions Prescribing in accordance with the ICB/Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate

About us

Our premises are modern, and purpose built. Our team consists of GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, HCAs and Phlebotomist. We use SystmOne, Ardrens and Accurx software. We are a well-established practice for over 13,500 patients over four sites and our list size is growing year on year.

Through our PCN membership we have had opportunity to work collaboratively across our Network area. We have had opportunity to work alongside a number of ARRS roles including Pharmacy Team, Physiotherapist, Primary Care Mental Health team, as well as a Social Prescribers. We have a very supportive and enthusiastic Management team, excellent Patient Services and Admin support staff.
