Our client in Peterhead has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced & qualified LGV mechanic to join their vehicle repair & service division.

This is a full time permanent position with an excellent remuneration package for the right applicant.

Fully time served applicants are desirable however, experienced semi-skilled may be considered.

Duties

  • To carry out servicing & repairs.
  • To inspect & prepare vehicles to VOSA / DVLA Test Standards.
  • To carry out periodic safety inspection checks.
  • To work on own initiative, ie: breakdown service repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

Essential skills & Experience

  • Time served or semi skilled in LGV Mechanics
  • Proven experience with repairs and diagnostics.
  • Experience of servicing light goods commercial vehicles is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
