Electrician (Peterhead)

Electrician : Supporting the Score Europe division with Electrical maintenance duties as required

This is great opportunity for someone looking to develop their electrical skills and knowledge within our busy facilities. The Electrician will be responsible for any installations, repairs, testing, preventative and reactive maintenance of all electrical equipment within the Peterhead buildings. They will have experience of working with a range of different electrical systems and scenarios in a safe and competent manner in compliance with all current standards and regulations.

Primary responsibilities Installation, testing and maintenance of single and three phase distribution systems, machinery and general electrical equipment Carrying out breakdown response including troubleshoot, diagnose and rectification while minimising production down time Ensure competence in the electrical safety procedures Carry out fixed wiring testing to current BS 7671 regulations and portable appliance testing Liaise with manager, supervisors and collaborate with wider team members to drive forward electrical solutions Commitment to continual improvement and flexible approach to change Self - motivated, enthusiastic and commitment to safe working practises Qualifications Completed a modern apprenticeship programme S/NVQ Level 3 or above in an electrical engineering discipline BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred Experience Experience of installation, repair and maintenance of single and three phase electrical systems in an industrial environment Fault finding The ability to read schematic drawings and circuit diagrams Maintenance of production machinery within busy workshop environments Previous working experience in a large workshop or factory facility is preferred Behaviours and skills Effective communication skills Honest & reliable Ability to work well in a team as well as to take own initiative Commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to safe working practises Ability to work at heights from work platforms and scaffolding (training can be arranged)
