Location:  Durham

Pay Rate: £12.50- £12.75 per hour

Shifts Available:  9.15 pm- 7.15 am (Monday to Sunday)

Access to a vehicle is required due to the geographical location of role.

Young boy needing support. He has a great sense of humour and a lovely personality, He likes someone to give him lots of cuddles and attention, he loves listening to stories and music. 

Do you live in or have transport to the Newton Hall area of Durham to support this young boy who has complex disabilities. Are you professional, kind and reliable. If so then we would like to hear from you to join the team in supporting this young boy who lives at home with his mum, dad, older brother and older sister.

Because of his medical condition full support and monitoring is required. Your duties will include tracheostomy care, PEG feeding for some of his nutrition, medication administration and providing personal care. Due to his condition this little boy has no independent movement, so he needs full support with his positioning. . Although he is non-verbal, once you get to know him, this young boy can easily tell you how is he feeling through gestures, movement and facial expression.

2 waking night shifts from 9.15pm - 7.15am to include weekends but with flexibility for additional shifts to cover for holidays and sickness.

Job Description

Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

What you’ll need

Previous experience in childcare including ventilation care, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding required.
