Job Description

Deputy Nurse Manager
40 hours per week (mix of clinical and supernumerary hours)
Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum

As a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will be a key part of our client's team, working closely with the Nurse Manager to guide and support the nursing staff in delivering exceptional palliative, nursing, and dementia care to older adults. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact, bringing your clinical expertise and compassionate leadership to create a positive, supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Qualifications
  • Nursing License: Registered Nurse with a valid RGN or RMN license.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a deputy or management role within a nursing home setting.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong clinical expertise, particularly in elderly and dementia care.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare policies and regulations specific to palliative, nursing, and dementia care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations: Assist the Nurse Manager with daily management of the nursing department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, helping them deliver exceptional, resident-focused care.
  • Compliance: Ensure the facility meets all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Staff Development: Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth, especially in palliative, nursing, and dementia care.
  • Resident Care Management: Oversee resident admissions, discharges, and care plans to ensure individual needs are met.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks with a focus on meeting the specialized needs of older adult residents.
