As a Senior Planner, you'll enjoy the scope to explore professional passions and exposure across landmark projects. The potential here is unrivalled. Help us shape what comes next. Leading the development and management of complex construction project schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to timelines. Aims to provide strategic planning oversight, mentorship to less experienced planners and contribute to project success by implementing advanced scheduling techniques. The Senior Planner's scope encompasses high-level project planning and coordination, playing a key role in achieving efficient and successful construction outcomes.
This is an exciting role within the UKCS Planning Dept for the Eastern region, working across multiple projects.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Planner with our growing business, you'll:A
Lead, coach and inspire a team to shape the next generation of planners Look at construction projects from every angle to decide the safest and best possible way to deliver them Win everyones confidence and get them on board to follow your plan including supply chains and subcontractors Manage programmes of work to make sure we do what we say well do in the right way at the right time to the right cost Have a strong handle on every project by reporting on productivity, mapping predicted progress and getting out on site to ensure our progress datas accurate Make informed decisions on how best to proceed if any changes are needed Be part of a powerful planning community who lean on and learn from each other Collaborate across Balfour Beatty to define plans, update on progress and increase the impact that planning can make on safety and quality Get the chance to mentor our Planners and reverse mentor our leaders.A
Who we're looking for
To join us and lead a planning team, you'll need to:
Have significant experience of planning services ideally within construction Know how to use planning techniques and planning toolsets Understand tender documents, contracts and specifications Understand various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring Want to work with people were about teamwork, not siloes Develop relationships, trust and confidence to get every team to do whats needed Be unflappable as situations change, plans evolve and decisions need making.
