The team consists of 2 other consultants, 2 staff grades, 2 Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialists and an FY1. The post holder will participate in the diagnosis and management of individual patients by liaison with patients, clinicians and other hospital and community staff. The majority of the work is through outpatient clinics and day case work.

The WWL Trust Anticoagulant Service is overseen by the Consultant Haematologists (one of whom is lead for anticoagulation) and is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, pharmacists and biomedical scientists.
