JobSummary:

We areseeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker/Maintenance Technicianto join our team at Discovery Care Group. The successful candidatewill be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness safety andoverall upkeep of the care home facility. This role is crucial inensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents staffand visitors.

KeyResponsibilities:

• FacilityMaintenance:

  • Performroutine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systemsincluding plumbing electrical HVAC and safetysystems.

  • Repairand maintain indoor and outdoor facilities including paintingcarpentry and minor electricalwork.

  • Addressand resolve maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe andfunctionalenvironment.

• SafetyCompliance:

  • Conductregular checks of safety equipment such as fire alarmsextinguishers and emergencylighting.

  • Ensurethat the facility complies with local state and federal safetyregulations.

  • Assistwith emergency procedures including fire drills and evacuationplans.

• Groundskeeping:

  • Maintainthe cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas including lawnsgardens walkways and parkinglots.

  • Removesnow leaves and other debris from walkways andentrances.

  • Coordinateand oversee the work of outside contractors for major repairs orlandscapingprojects.

• ResidentSupport:

  • Assistresidents with minor repairs and adjustments within their livingspaces.

  • Respondto residents maintenance requests in a timely and respectfulmanner.

  • Fosterpositive relationships with residents ensuring their comfort andwellbeing.

• RecordKeeping:

  • Maintainaccurate records of maintenance activities repairs andinspections.

  • Monitorand document utility usage reporting any unusualactivity.

  • Keepinventory of maintenance supplies and equipment orderingreplacements asneeded.

Qualifications:

• BasicDIY skills and indepth understanding of maintenanceprocedures

• Problemsolving skills for addressing safety and maintenanceconcerns

• Strongverbal and written communicationskills

• Organisationmultitasking and schedulingskills

WorkingConditions:

• Mustbe able to work flexible hours including some evenings weekends andholidays asneeded.

• Therole may involve exposure to hazardous materials loud noises andvarying weatherconditions.

• Mustbe able to respond to emergency maintenance requests on shortnotice.
