Boskalis Westminster, part of the Royal Boskalis Group, specialises in nearshore dredging and construction with the UK survey department, supporting works in the UK and Ireland.

Job Description

Reporting to the Master, the GP Rating provides support for the safe and efficient running of the vessel. More information on the vessel can be viewed at .

Your Main Tasks:

Safety of the ship including acting as a lookout in accordance with the MCA Regulations To ensure that the cleaning and maintenance of all areas of the vessel are adequately completed Assisting engineering staff as required Ensuring the completion and correct reporting of planned maintenance tasks as directed by mate or engineer Carrying out duties as watchman as required Anchoring work and mooring Carrying out such other duties as directed by the Master Carrying out galley duties as directed by the Master To be competent in the use of all deck equipment (crane, RIB, anchor windlass etc.) To act as Coxswain of the RIB as directed To ensure that all adequate paperwork is completed as and when required

Required Knowledge and Experience to make your mark in this role:

Essential

ENG1 Basic Sea Survival Fire Fighting

Desirable

Vessels are run in line with requirements of Company, Client and in adherence to regulations A level of safety awareness in crews compliance and in accordance with Company procedures The ability to maintain and achieve safety related KPI’s The ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction RYA Powerboat Level 2 Mandatory NINA training

Other essential requirements

3 years UK residency Full driving licence  Current passport Able to work on a liveaboard vessel on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation
