About therole:

The Fundraising PartnershipsManager is a new and central role that will be pivotal in shapingthe future of Shared Health. They will play a critical role indeveloping and executing a fundraising strategy to support theorganisations goals and ensure Shared Healths financialsustainability.

They will have responsibility forthe strategic management of income generation and growth from avariety of sources: mostly through grant and trust applications.The post holder will work closely with the Communications Team toshowcase the social impact of the work of in order to attractfunding and support.

The post holder will behighly organised capable and skilled in developing relationshipsand partnerships. They will be someone who understands the healthimpact that poverty has and keen to make those impacted negativelyby health inequality visible.

The role is fulltime 37.5 hours a week over 5 days. Parttime will beconsidered.

Tasks

Role&responsibilities:

  • Growand develop existing funding prospects: including trusts andfoundations corporate sponsors and individualpartners.
  • Establish new funding streams anddevelop potential funding opportunities within agreedtimescale.
  • Write funding bids and grantapplications both large and small.
  • Work closelywith the Communications Team to bring innovative fundraisingcampaigns to fruition and put together engaging events and otherpromotional and activities.
  • Develop and managea calendar of events to progress agreed incometargets.
  • Monitor changes in government and NHSpolicy and funding streams.
  • Report regularly tothe CEO onprogress.

FundraisingGrant Contract and otherfunding

  • Developimplement and evaluate the fundraising strategy to support SharedHealth in its aims values and strategy.
  • Offerleadership on income generation to ensure sustainability of SharedHealth.
  • Generate multiple funding streams thatwill ensure the sustainability of Shared Healthsstrategy.
  • Identifying and analysing grantopportunities.
  • Write high quality funding bids& grant applications ensuring that they will benefit thosewho Shared Health work with.
  • Produce fundingproposals.
  • Develop and build partnerships withcurrent and prospective funding partners andstakeholders.
  • Be accountable for fundraisingtargets and strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluatefundraising campaigns and activities producing timely clear reportsfor senior leadership and actioning any related changes tostrategy.
  • Creatively develop ways to expandincome for theorganisation.

Communicationstrategy

  • Work with theCommunications Team on to advertise social impact of the work ofShared Health with an aim to attract interest and funding from bothcorporate national and local government and otherpartners.
  • Work with the CEO and CommunicationsTeam to ensure that the voice of lived experience is at the heartof all fundraising strategy and that funding is channelled to theright areas of the organisation.
  • Act as anambassador for Shared Health and engage with significantindividuals and relevant organisations building relationships andpartnerships by communicating positive outcomes of the work ofShared Health and by extension the benefits of financiallysupporting the work of Shared Health.
  • Useskills of persuasion and negotiation in generation of support fromtrusts andcorporations.

Finance&budgetary

  • Support thesenior leadership with financial planning and budgets identifyingrisks and recommending corrective action wherenecessary.
  • Report regularly on income andexpenditure against budgets and provide accurate and timelyfinancial information as part of the report to the seniorleadership.
  • Research new methods products andengagement tools and implement where appropriate keeping uptodateon sector trends best practice regulations and changes ingovernment policy.
  • Identify risks andopportunities to income growth.
  • Maintainrecords on key income and produce reports projecting for futurefinancialsustainability.

Experience

  • Minimum2 years in fundraising particularly in generating income in thenonprofit / charity sector.
  • Experience ofgrowing a successful fundraisingstrategy.
  • Experience representing organisationsat events dinners and meetings.
  • Experience ofsuccessfully project managing trust and grant applications bidstenders and procurement processes.
  • Experienceor knowledge of how funding in the public sector or NHSworks.

DesirableCriteria

  • Experienceof raising funds in the health sector orNHS.
  • Events planningexperience.
  • Contacts within the nonprofit /charity or health care sector and fundraisingbodies.

Skills/Knowledge

EssentialCriteria

  • Networkingexperience influencing stakeholders and other partners includinglocal and national governmentpersonnel.
  • Experience of working with legaciesmajor donors and corporatefundraising.
  • Experience of using social mediaeffectively to engage potential partners policy makers and promotethe work of Shared Health.
  • Understanding oflegislation around fundraising in nonprofitorganisations.

  • Experienceusing data to inform reporting andstrategy.
  • Understanding of health inequalitiesand poverty in Greater Manchester and commitment to the aims ofShared Health.
  • Team player who can alsoproactively work on their owninitiative.
