Job summary
We are seeking a part-time Cashier/Administrator to join General Office, St Ann's Hospital.
The working hours are: per week Wednesday - Friday, but with flexibility to work across a 5 day week when needed to provide cross-cover for annual leave and sickness.
It would suit someone with previous experience in finance and figure work, with a helpful attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and good attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
Your main task will be to provide petty cash, banking and financial duties for the site.
Alongside your own role, you will support the Patient Affairs Officer to complete wider administrative duties relating to the patients bank, completing estates requisitions, issuing site keys and alarms to new staff and contractors.
This is post has set tasks with deadlines for completion, interspersed with a variety of administrative tasks which will take you across the site.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
GCSE in English and Maths Grade C or above, or equiv RSAII or Equivalent Experience in Word Processing/Typing
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Essential
To have experience of working within a office environment with cash handling and financial reconciliation experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills towards people at all levels within the organisation and externally. Good time management skills to work within set deadlines. Good organisational skills and ability to organise own workload. Must be computer literate and able to learn and work on a variety of systems.
Desirable
Previous experience of working within the NHS, ideally Mental Health Services

To be able to balance and record financial transactions, following organisational instructions, policies and regulations.

To be able to work flexibly to cross cover with the Patient Affairs Officer across 5 days a week to provide a continuous service during periods of leave or sickness.
