Hatched Talent Solutions haspartnered with an industry leading geo-technical andgeo-environmental engineering consultancy based in Bristol. We'relooking for their next Graduate / Junior CAD Technician to join theteam permanently with progression within the Aerial Surveyingteam.

They are an impressivedynamic and digitally innovative business that specialises in theinvestigation, assessment and management of geo-technical andgeo-environmental issues upon new development sites. They also leadthe industry in aerial drone surveying and 3D ground modellingservices.

You will be part ofthe 3D Modelling and Aerial Surveying team and in your role, youwill be primarily supporting the team with the planning andundertaking of drone flights, producing 2D and 3D modelling of thesites and the production of technical drawings for all departments.In time and with their support, you would be expected to gain yourcommercial drone pilot's license therefore, they are looking for aconfident, self-motivated and CAD literate individual withexcellent communication skills who is looking to make their mark ona growing business and sector.

Aerial Surveyor dutiesinclude:

  • Prepare 2D and3D illustrative plans in accordance with the projectpurpose.
  • Prepare topographical survey drawingsfrom aerial survey data sets.
  • Assist in thepreparation of cut and fill analysis models either from first orthird party data.
  • Undertake technical drawingsin support of other departments.
  • Assist inliaison with external consultants regarding 3rd party input totechnical drawings.
  • Assist in the booking andmanagement of specialist plant and service suppliers in accordancewith the project scope and in line with all relevant companystandard operating procedures(SOPs).

Aerial Surveyorskills and experiencerequired:

  • StrongA-Level qualifications.
  • Ideally a bachelor'sdegree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a relatedfield. Relevant certifications or licenses are aplus.
  • IT skills - including a good workingknowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ideally somespecialist software such as AutoCAD Civil 3d, Pix4D or other GISsoftware.
  • Strong communication skills, bothover the phone and face to face.
  • Flexibility totravel for work in various locations and a desire to mix officetime with fieldwork.
  • Self-motivated withexcellent administrative and organisationalskills.
  • A confident and enthusiastic approachto working within a small, dynamicteam.

OfficeHours: 9.00 - 5.30, Monday to Friday. The role isprimarily office based, however, flexi-time of 1 hour either sideof start and finish time as well as hybrid working will also beconsidered.
