We're looking for an Engineer to join our structures team based in Birmingham. Could this be you?

Location: Birmingham, England - remote working is available with travel to sites and offices on occasion.

Contract: Permanent, full time

Salary: £36k - £40k + 26 days annual leave + benefits

 

What will you be responsible for?

As an Engineer within our structure team, you will support in the maintenance of existing highways structures and the delivery of major project new-build schemes across the country.

Your day to day will include:

  • Preparing technical designs, documents and drawings using the latest software
  • Producing cost estimates and programmes, working together with construction and commercial teams and the client as needed
  • Visiting sites to gather data
  • Mentoring junior members of the team and supporting their development
  • Working with the team to achieve targets

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Engineer is great for you if you:

  • Have a degree in civil engineering or HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Are working towards Incorporated or Chartered status or other relevant professional institution such as MICE or MIStructE
  • Have experience in designing structures maintenance or new-build schemes
