Assistant Accountant

Location : Volvo Derby 

Salary : Competitive 

This is a fantastic role for a commercially minded, motor trade experienced, accounts person ready to step up, or an existing Assistant accountant to join our Volvo division, this is a role where you will work side by side with the General Managers, making a real difference to operational performance while ensuring all financial control and accounting processes are in place. 

Working with our team based at Volvo Derby, your focus will be around the day to day oversee of a small accounts team and balance sheet control and risk/audit management, along with ensuring inventory checks meet internal requirements, managing working capital and ongoing cost reviews. 

We offer training through our in house Marshall Finance Academy in addition to ongoing training/leadership & support.

 You will work as part of the dealership support team, and also as a part of our retail finance division and will work to support the dealerships with day to day financial reporting and management. Offered on a full-time basis, this role reports to the Dealership Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role in the motor industry.

  What does a typical day involve?

 -Assisting with the production of management accounts as required by the dealership leadership team, dealership accountant & group finance 

 -Liaise with local management as well as divisional and group level accounting staff to ensure a consistent approach

 -Manage risk and working capital matters
