Job summary
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The postholder will be required to work across shifts covering 9:15pm - 7:15am as part of an extendedcommunity team working in the patients home environment including, as required, in carehomes. Although based in the community, post holders may occasionally be required to work inother Rennie grove Peace Care settings in order to ensure adequate staffing levels and to gainexperience of the wider hospice delivery of care.
Main duties of the job

Qualifications
Essential
Registered general Nurse/Paramedic. Relevant postgraduate qualification relating to speciality or evidence of transferable experience.
Desirable
Mentorship course or willingness to undertake mentorship responsibility.
Experience
Essential
Significant post registration palliative, oncology, or long-term conditions experience. Experience of shift/caseload management. IT literate and experience of using an electronic patient record system.
Desirable
Experience of working within palliative care/long term conditions/in an oncology setting. Experience of participating in clinical audit/quality management Experience of leading and motivating teams of volunteers.
