Main duties of the job

Job Purpose:

As a member of the Backfill mobile cleaning team, you are required to complete healthcare cleaning duties and housekeeping duties within Estates & Facilities ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is attained across Trust sites.

Responsible for providing an efficient and effective cleaning service in compliance with the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, service users, staff members, and visitors to ensure a comfortable and caring environment within Trust sites across Bradford and Airedale.

Cleaning Responsibilities :

To provide healthcare cleaning within all areas (patient, staff and visitor) to include but not limited to, wards, communal areas, offices, departments, non-clinical areas. To follow National Colour Coding in line with infection prevention and control guidance. To ensure safe use and storage of materials to meet health and safety regulations and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Flexible working pattern Working at BDCFT Trust Sites on a three-week rotation, including early morning and evening shifts. Assume responsibility for task carried out through mobile devices. The purpose of this service is to provide minimal estates cleaning services. General cleaning of small fixtures and fittings To adhere to safe working practices as outlined in Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) procedures. To assist with the removal of bodily fluids and clean-up process as and when required in accordance with Infection Prevention guidelines. This job description is not meant to be exhaustive.
