About us
The RNOH is a national centre of excellence with an international reputation for diagnosis, assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions.
It is an exciting time to join our department as we implemented ePMA in the Trust in Autumn 2022. Alongside the expansion to the theatre facilities, there are ever growing opportunities to contribute to medicines optimisation. Our pharmacy dispensary has recently been relocated to an innovative and purpose built area which also has dedicated office workspace and improved facilities for staff training, research, staff rest areas and dedicated patient consultation and waiting areas.
Research and ongoing development is highly encouraged within the department and the Trust. We actively promote publication of research and involvement at external conferences; this includes regular submissions of posters and presentations at conferences nationally and internationally. Our department profile includes a UKCPA award-winning poster, publishing in peer reviewed journals and presentations at the UKCPA, Oxford Bone Infection, and National Orthopaedic Alliance Conferences.
Other examples of the department's innovation and achievement projects include creation of the medicines safety dashboard and monthly bulletin, pharmacist led opioid deprescribing clinics and contribution to developing national guidelines such as UKCPA & CPOC.
