Salary Scale: £100-£110 per day

Start Date: September 2nd 

Status: Full Time

About the Role:

Currently, GSL Education is looking to fill a job at one of our client primary schools in Sheffield with a competent and motivated HLTA with Sports who wants to work in primary schools. As an HLTA with a focus on sports, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience of our students through sports-related activities and initiatives.

Key Requirements: 

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons, utilizing your sports expertise to integrate physical activity into the curriculum where appropriate.
  • Assisting our teaching staff in developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Act as a role model for healthy living by instilling the values of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
  • Your understanding of sports can contribute to creating inclusive and accessible activities for all students.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Graduates in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field are welcome.
  • Experience working with children in a sports or educational setting desirable but not mandatory.
  • HLTA qualification or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Dedication to promoting a positive learning environment and fostering a love for sports among students.
