Mechanical Technician

As Mechanical Technician , you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling and testing new K-Winch Products, consisting of any Wireline winches and wireline masts along with all accessories used along with this equipment. Ability to use hand tools safely including tube bending equipment. You will support and improve assembly of NOV ISE products through specific techniques as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. You will support and assist your colleagues where required and report any health and safety improvements and infringements, stopping any operations you deem to be unsafe immediately reporting these to your Cell leader or line manager. You will follow all risk assessments and participate in all safety initiatives. It is essential that the quality of your work is to the highest standard, it is expected to be right first time on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Testing: Accurately assemble equipment and products by interpreting blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications. Hydraulic Systems: Manufacture and maintain clean hydraulic systems as per design procedures. Quality Control: Monitor materials and equipment to detect defects, ensuring product quality meets NOV standards. Team Support: Guide and support team members, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Efficiency Initiatives: Support key initiatives like on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and cost of quality. Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following 5S and LEAN principles. Process Improvement: Generate and implement improvement ideas, responding proactively to identified process enhancements. Communication: Actively engage in daily team meetings to discuss and resolve potential issues. Health & Safety: Follow all risk assessments, report safety concerns, and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Task Management: Complete tasks assigned by the Cell Leader, ensuring high levels of target achievement and operational efficiency.Skills & Experience Required:

Time-Served Apprenticeship: Proven hands-on training and expertise in mechanical work. NC in a Relevant Subject: Solid educational background in a pertinent field. Mechanical Proficiency: Experience in a mechanical-based profession, showcasing your practical skills. Tool Operation: Competent in using basic hand and power tools safely and effectively. Technical Understanding: Ability to comprehend, evaluate, and apply technical information accurately.Desirable:
Higher Education: Advanced studies in a relevant subject, enhancing your technical knowledge. Assembly & Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with working in an assembly and manufacturing environment, adding valuable industry experience. Forklift & Crane Certification: Possession of forklift and overhead crane certificates, or willingness to obtain them with provided training.
