This position will provide direction and control of all aspects associated with reliability of the operational plant.

The role holder will play an active part in the development and implementation of modern maintenance techniques associated with, predictive-condition-based, preventive and corrective maintenance requirements to support the sites reliability KPIs

The role is in line with business requirements to achieve Monitor and improve equipment functionality with regard to operation and plant efficiency including the site infrastructure with a focus on plant performance, energy reduction and sustainability in order to maintain the maximum level of availability and reliability of the plant at the lowest cost effective level.

Key accountabilities

Financial Planning

  • Support development of annual maintenance budgets to full fill requirements for sustaining, and development of reliability requirements including OPEX & CAPEX

  • Support technical evaluation of the offers for maintenance services, strategic spare parts and projects / investments

Training

  • Identify, plan and evaluate training requirements to maintain and develop modern maintenance techniques

  • Support for providing training on new pieces of equipment, procedures and systems associated with reliability

Technical Support

  • Support the maintenance execution team to deliver quality maintenance and minimise maintenance-induced failures.

  • Support the analyses of data from condition-based maintenance techniques and advise on remediation requirements.

Team Working

  • Work closely with engineering and operational teams across all departments

  • Support for the predictive measurements analyses and decisions in cooperation with other engineers, supervisors and managers

Maintenance Systems

  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing support of a Reliability Centred Maintenance system

  • Responsible for improving the predictive and preventive maintenance plan in SAP-PM

  • Responsible for monitoring condition-based maintenance system schedule adherence (AVT)

  • Responsible for monitoring schedule adherence of first-line maintenance

  • Responsible for monitoring schedule adherence of the lubrication schedule

Management and Supervision

  • Provide support to lubrication technician (future role)

  • Responsible for supervision of contractors associated with reliability services

Process Monitoring

  • Support to monitor process that have potential to impact equipment reliability

Systems Design

  • Identify and implement methods for increasing the reliability, availability, and maintainability for all pieces of equipment

  • Deliver investment and improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption, in line with the company sustainability policy.

Information

  • Responsible for conducting design reviews for the MTBF and maintainability determination

  • Responsible for preparing and updating PPM by means of optimisation for the maintenance personnel and process operatives

  • Responsible for implementing recommendations either internal or external

  • Responsible for identification of the "bad actors" using SAP software and proposing improvements / investments to eliminate them

  • Responsible for the repair procedure's improvements, SOPs

  • Responsible for the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)

  • Responsible for creating and updating a formal Critical Condition Levels system for major pieces of equipment within the plant

  • Responsible for the preventive maintenance plan improvements, and lean spare parts management in cooperation with the planner, and stores supervisor

  • Responsible for updating the technical files including documents, drawing procedures

  • Responsible monitoring and ensuring all equipment operating safely and within the manufactures design criteria whilst fully optimised for the production process.

  • Comply with and ensure under the area of your control the agreed standards for the site are applied consistently working within the statutory legislation and company policies and procedures.

Education/Qualification

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 Equivalent in mechanical field

  • HNC - Minimum

  • Comuter literate

  • Must complete relevant training
