Vetro Education is seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to work within SEN Schools in Aberdare Local Education Authority from September 2024.
The school supports learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder and challenging behaviour. Vetro Education are looking for a SEN Teacher in or around the Aberdare area who have experience in any of these fields. Teachers who can work both full time roles or are looking for a part time schedule would be of interest to the school.
As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, Vetro Education will allow you to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.
Overview:


  • Title: SEN Teacher

  • Pay: £157.66 per day minimum

  • Location: Aberdare

  • Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a SEN Teacher


  • Teaching learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or Challenging Behaviour with support of Learning Support Assistants

  • Setting up classroom at the start of the day for the arrival of the learners

  • Planning lessons and schemes of work for the week/month ahead

  • Following the school's behaviour management plan

  • Teach in line with the national curriculum

  • Assist learners at break time and at the end of the day

  • Engaging with parents of the learners you are teaching


The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a SEN Teacher


  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a Teacher (exceptions made for NQTs)

  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this

  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)

  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

  • The right to work in the UK
