Bristol, United Kingdom Western Power Full time

It’s a unique and exciting time to be a part of the Western Power family. We’re at the forefront of the energy transition and have a huge scope of work to achieve in the short, medium and longer term; the secret to our power is our people and we need additional and diverse resources to pave the way to smashing our goals, that’s why we need you

In support of the State Government Decarbonisation Strategy, Western Power has begun enhancing the existing network to enable future connection of large-scale renewable generation and load in the north region of the SWIN. Kicking off this strategy is the North Region Energy Program (NREP) which will increase network transfer capacity between the North Region and Perth Metropolitan load centre, reducing constraints on existing connected generation in the North and allowing for further generation connections in the region. Works will include, but are not limited to, civil and electrical construction, and electrical commissioning for Transmission lines and substations, and include a mixture of both greenfield and brownfields work.

To facilitate delivery of these works Western Power are seeking expressions of interest for a variety of roles that will be fundamental to the successful delivery of NREP. We’re looking for boots on the ground in the shape of:

Project Managers Project Coordinators Project Planners (Primavera P6 preferred) Quantity Surveyors Senior Contracts Managers Project Engineers Scheduling Specialists Contract Administrators Assurance and Quality specialists

At Western Power, we live and breathe our values. Here’s how we align...

Safe & caring – Safety is critical to our business; we are not only passionate about our physical safety, but the psychological safety of our people. We build trust through transparency, mastery and reliability.

Results focussed – Our customers and communication are at the core of Western Power’s purpose and technology is rapidly changing how we engage and improve our customer experience. We set challenging goals, work hard and hold ourselves accountable to deliver.

Acting with integrity – We execute the required work to support the organisation and do the right thing by the people of WA. We lead honest and respectful conversations and value empathy for everyone.

Working together - Teamwork for us extends well beyond our immediate colleagues; we need to understand and collaborate throughout the business and with our external stakeholders for Western Power to meet the needs of our customers.

Always improving – It’s integral to our success as a business that we always improve; it’s our obligation to continuously do better on behalf of our community. We do this by staying current on new technologies and patterns, sourcing and combining the best thought leadership from our partners and industry experts, and evolving the way we deliver products to our customers and the Western Power organisation.

Does this sound like a journey you’re keen to be a part of? Express your interest by clicking the ‘apply’ button and sending us your CV.

We are committed to building a diverse workforce and strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, women, young & mature age workers & the LGBTQI+ community.

We are committed to our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2021 - 2027 and ensuring that people with disability have equal opportunities to gain and maintain employment with Western Power. It is strongly encouraged that people with a disability who meet the inherent requirements of the positions apply for these roles.

The above roles may be subject to change and Western Power reserves the right to only contact candidates successful for open vacancies.
