This fantastic opportunity has arrived as we look to further strengthen our engineering problem solving ability and continuous improvement journey. The individual will support the site engineering team to deliver in a fast-paced flagship site that has undergone a multi-million-pound investment with further significant capital plans in the coming years. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager this role will support the day-to-day management of engineering activities and work closely with the Reliability & Control Systems Engineer, and Reliability & CI Projects Engineer, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with Statutory, Mandatory and Legal requirements, safe and effective asset care for equipment, services, utilities and facilities and that effective engineering support is provided to the operation and site teams 24/7.

So, what are we looking for:

A proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak efficiency. An individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where maintaining product quality and adhering to food safety regulations are paramount. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising machinery and equipment efficiency to prevent production delays and maintain product quality. They will ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Additionally, they will develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend the lifespan of equipment. Providing continuous engineering support to operations and site teams 24/7 is crucial. The candidate will coordinate and oversee repairs to ensure continuous production and keep track of spare parts and supplies to ensure availability when needed. Training maintenance staff on procedures and safety protocols is essential to ensure a safe working environment and achieve right-first-time fixes. Managing the maintenance budget to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising safety and quality is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar position and at management level. The post holder will need excellent IT skills and communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to manage the expectations of key stakeholders and possess a keen eye for detail
