Are you a current Lecturer - IT looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college?

Are you currently working in the IT industry, and could use your skills and experience to train the next generation of IT experts, with our training and support?

We are looking for Lecturer IT to join us on a variable hours contract of up to 22 hours per week; this will be on a fixed-term basis to 31st July 2025.

In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £13.29 - £23.21 ph inc London Weighting, plus accrued holiday allowance of 12.07% per hour.

The Lecturer-IT role:

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer-IT :

  • Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
  • Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
  • Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
  • Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
  • Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsbilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression
  • Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
  • Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector

Our ideal Lecturer-IT should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Possess a teaching qualification or be prepared to undertake a further education teaching qualification
  • Have a degree or equivalent qualification in the subject relevant to the course to be delivered
  • Have recent and relevant experience of teaching Computing to learners especially Level 3 BTEC Provision
  • Ability to be course leader and associated responsibilities in leading a Level 3 team
  • Understanding of Safeguarding Legislation and its application within the educational sector
  • Commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
  • All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
