This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on significant cases and contribute to the growth of the personal injury department. The portfolio of claims will range from between £100k - £250k and will include both litigated and non-litigated claims. While working closely with the large loss department on claims up to £250k. You will contribute to development of the Personal Injury department by helping the junior members of the claims department with training, referrals and mentoring.

As a Large Loss Claims Handler here at The AA you will:

  • Assess Claims : Diligently evaluate motor claims, optimizing indemnity expenditure.
  • Communicate Effectively : Interact with customers, ensuring fair treatment and world-class service.
  • Manage Caseloads : Proactively oversee tasks within SLAs.
  • Negotiate Strategically : Reach settlements for third-party claims.
  • Enhance Customer Experience : Identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay Informed : Maintain technical expertise and market awareness.
  • Build Relationships : Collaborate with suppliers and report claims transparently.
  • Contribute to Efficiency : Improve cost-effectiveness and procedural quality.
  • Handle Complex Cases : Showcase your expertise on high-value claims.

What do I need?
  • Demonstratable expertise in handling large and complex loss claims within the motor insurance sector
  • Previous exposure in handling claims in excess of £100k
  • A strong understanding of indemnity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to confidently negotiate
